What are all the foxtrot steps? I'm helping a friend out with a paper she need to finish in school and she doesn't know the steps :P So if you know any of them it would be a big help to name them Thanks! :)

How many kinds of Foxtrot are there? Some one told me that the 5 step foxtrot is the best. I dont know which is the best and why. Perhaps the foxtrot has faded into the misty past ....

Can you tell me about off beat cha cha, rhythm foxtrot & jive? ok, i wanna know specifically, :- 1. The difference between cha cha and off beat cha cha 2. Are there any hip movement involved in these 3 dances I would appreciate thorough and complete answers as specific as possible. Additional information are appreciated. I'm not really interested in how's their every steps but I just wanna know the overall body movement involved in these dances. My gym is offerring these classes and I'm the kind that likes waltz and rock and roll but dislike rhumba. Basically I like dances that does not involve hip movement. So knowing about them would help me decide whether to take up these classes or not. If you have no idea, please don't attemp to answer. Thank you for your help.

Looking for foxtrot dance instruction video or dvd? I am looking for a video or dvd that shows the individual steps of the International Standard dance Foxtrot. I am looking for one that shows exactly what a weave is and the correct steps it is danced in (the weave is only an example step). I am also looking to find out exactly what steps of the Foxtrot are learned and danced at each level of lessons. My husband and I are having to teach ourselves owing to the fact that we live in rural Australia and their is absolutely nobody here to teach us how to dance correctly for when we get to go away to a dance (all 'dancers' here have taught themselves 'country and western style of dancing'). The dance that we like to travel to dances all the ballroom dances, We eventually want to learn all of them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. A big thank you to anyone who takes their time to help us out. We really want to improve on what we have tried to teach ourselves so far.

What ballroom dance can you do to Chris Brown's "With You"? My fiance and I are getting married on July 19. We are hoping to dance our first dance to Chris Brown's "With You," but also want to know some good ballroom dance steps to make it look good. What kind of dance-beat is the song and what kind of dance steps would work with it (examples: waltz, foxtrot, tango, etc.) TIA!

How to dance to our wedding song? Our wedding song is "I dont wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith and I would like to do a real form of dance, like a foxtrot, salsa, two step or something else. I dont know which dance to do that would go with this song. I dont want to just sway back and forth. lol. (ALso, i know none of the dances I listed will work with this song, I was just listing some different dances)

Foxtrot music from the 1980's? I am trying to have an 80's themed social dance night (ballroom). Chacha, two step, west coast, etc. shouldn't be too hard to find (but if you have any suggestions, fire away), and I found 4 1980's waltzes, but can you think of any 1980's foxtrots? Must be genuinely from the 80's, not the 70's or 90's...

BALLROOM DANCING??? tips and steps? ok im in the edudance competition this year and i just want to know etiiqute of ballroom dancing how to impress the judges ect. the dances we are doing are tango, foxtrot, rumba, waltz, east coast swing, cha cha, merengue(pretty easy not much help needed on merengue)

Lightning without clouds ... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I just stepped outside and witnessed an unusual display by mother nature that I have never witnessed in my 35 years.... A lightning show in a cloudless sky. Now these weren't bolts of lightning but rather flashes as if someone were taking a picture with a flash. But there were no clouds to be seen... have you seen this before? Just so you know, I live in Dallas, TX.

does anyone still dance like they did in the 1940's? I am curious does any place in South Australia that holds dances (cabarets) where the traditional social foxtrots and waltz's (non-scripted dances) are danced? Also does anyone know of any place that teaches this style of dance. All I have been able to find is sequence dancing, and this is totally unsuitable for most people on a dance floor where some are doing scripted dances and others doing the basic steps. Also do people only dance sequence (scripted) dances nowadays?

strictly come dancing on saturdays? l really enjoy saturday evening on strictly but it really bugs me when everyone slow claps to the dancers even on a foxtrot and it must put the dancers out of step

Gaiting help, please? My mare has been gaiting really well for a while. But she just recently learned how to do a stepping pace and she won't stop. I'm having trouble telling when she's doing it, because it's smooth (unlike a hard pace). Does anyone have any advice on how to keep her from doing a stepping pace? She's a MFT and has always done either a running walk, foxtrot, or hard pace (although she hasn't done a hard pace in a while).

Enlisted in National Guard,not happy with Bacherlor's degree. Guidance please.? I am 24 years old, male, from Edinburg,Tx. I enlisted in the National Guard February 13,2009 as an E4 thanks to my Rehabilitative Services Degree I earned at U.T.P.A. of December '08. I have a six year contract with the Army National Guard, 20k enlistment Bonus, my M.O.S. is 13 Foxtrot known as Forward Observer/Fire Support, I head to Basic Training for about 16 weeks beginning August 10, 2009 (this year) till about December 8, 2009. I'm working full time with my degree but here in Texas, this degree doesn't pay well at all, and it's a combination of Case Management and Counseling, it has it perks at times but, it just isn't me. Counselor's and such lied to me, misinformed me, and I was in a time and financial crunch, and the military option wasn't available due to family preferencses.. a.k.a. "join and I'll disown you" which actually would have been the case... ! lol *sigh* I'm wanting to go and complete a new Degree in Pre-Med Biology, and pursue a Medical Degree or go for Physical/Occupational Therapy as a Master's and possibly if I enjoy the military then head for the Medical Corps. I've been thinking about contracting with the R.O.T.C. program at my local University, U.T.P.A. or the Brownsville University, and contract in the S.M.P. program so that I do get extra help during my new studies, and the small stipend given (once I'm credited as a Sophomore), then take the commission as 2nd Lieutenant, and also my time contracted counts as time towards my commission and enlisted time. Question: Is this a wise decision? Any other better Options? Anything to save time? Possible complications with this rhoute? The Rank of 2nd Lieutenant worth this? Contracting with the ROTC worth this even when I have my G.I. Bill kicking in? I sincerely appreciate your individual opinions and time in this. I really really do! This is big step in my life and am trying to make the best decision so I can have a much better fullfilling career for myself, and also to help my family (Being the eldest of 4, I'm in charge of the youngest, and providing for him when he hit's college in another 6 years) and well so I can do things I want to do! lol Again, God Bless, and I thank you for your time.
