enlisted in the army as 13 foxtrot or fire support specialist?
my recruiter and my career council were both 13 foxtrot and said i would probably be attached to a infantry unit, cav unit or a armored unit, kicking down doors and patrolling along until they need me to call in air or artillery support . What other duties might i have ? i guess its kind of late since are already signed

- Loading shells into a M109 Howlitzer, Field Artillery. Good Luck.
- Negative, you will not load shells. That's 13B. You will be attached to infantry platoons, usually there are two 13F per platoon. If you deploy to Afghanistan in time, you will be the eyes of our guns, you will call in indirect artillery and mortar fire. If you are good, you will control helicopters and direct them to the enemy. Other duties include information operations which you take photos and record data. If you suck at your job, you will be a radio operator or a driver. If you suck, your life will suck. In Iraq, we dont use indirect fires so we will find another job for you. My SR 13F was a heavy weapons team leader. 13F is a great job so long as you are proficient.
